COVID POLICY IFC/GOLANN CAMP

In an effort to keep our attendees and staff healthy, we plan to meet or exceed state and county Covid ordinances. We understand there is controversy around all safety protocols but we want to continue to have a successful and healthy weekend for everyone involved. It is difficult to find the perfect balance between responsible organizing and individual decision making but we feel that this policy will keep camp safe and accessible to as many people as possible.

If you are having any Covid symptoms (not due to a chronic condition) PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CAMP!   Symptoms include but are not limited to: fever, sore throat, dry cough, extreme fatigue, loss of taste or smell, aches and pains, difficulty breathing and shortness of breath. During camp, anyone exhibiting Covid symptoms will be isolated, tested, and if positive, will be excluded from any additional camp activities.

Vaccinations

Documentation (a photograph of your vaccine card) of having the Covid vaccine plus at least 1 additional booster is required at time of registration for camp. For those of you who attended a prior IFC or Golann camp, your vaccine documentation is already noted.

Masking

It's hard to predict the course of the virus, but at this time, we expect we will strongly encourage all camp attendees to wear a well-fitting multi-layer mask for all indoor activities except dining. Most major camps are following protocols similar to this. Outdoor dining options will be available for those who prefer. Mask bracket inserts can help to make most masks more breathable while dancing. Those who attended IFC previously may recall that masking helped to insure that we had no Covid transmission at all during the camp! We saw that masking was a powerful tool for preventing viral spread

Testing

All participants will be required to test just before leaving for camp. A negative result is required before your attendance at your first session. Extra surgical masks and hand sanitizer will be available during the camp.

If you test positive within 2 weeks after camp, please notify the organizers so that other attendees can know that they may have been exposed. All identifying information will be kept confidential.
